PainPlantar Fasciitis Pain Therapy To Relieve Your Foot Pain.

Always apply the tape on clean feet and keep your feet dry. The effectiveness of taping is based on level of plantar fasciitis In acute cases, plantar fasciitis taping only may not be sufficient to decrease the pain and should be used in addition to arch support or over-the-counter nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen and naproxen. However, pain relievers do not cure the real cause. That is why plantar fasciitis taping is most effective when combined with treatments techniques that are not meant for symptom relief only but deal with the root reason of the pain as well.

If you are feeling plantar pain, a simple approach to assist in alleviating the stress on the fascia is to make use of arch support inserts and do plantar fasciitis exercises, that will strengthen the plantar fascia as well. One of the prescribed plantar fasciitis stretching exercises is stretching the foot before rising from bed. The Plantar Fascia will tighten while you sleep, which causes the intense pain that people feel when they get out of bed. By stretching the plantar fascia before you put pressure on it, you can help reduce the pain that you experience with your first morning steps.

Is a foot condition usually felt as pain in the bottom of your foot around the heel. There are about 2 million new cases of this condition reported every year in the USA only. That pain especially hurts first thing in the morning when you try to stand on your feet, or after sitting for awhile. This pain is caused by an injury of the fascia connective tissue at the bottom of the foot. This tissue is called the plantar fascia and it connects the heel bone to the toes. Usually this injury is caused by overload of the foot.

Discomfort and pain caused by PF can also sometimes cause a negative chain reaction. Sometimes sufferers tend to deal with the pain by adjusting their weight during movement, placing additional weight in other areas of the foot, causing a change in the way their foot hits the ground. This change in gait (the way the foot hits the ground) is a serious side-effect of plantar fasciitis and can be the catalyst for other serious and painful conditions in the foot as well as in other regions of the body. What Causes Plantar Fasciitis?

For runners, the plantar fascia may become inflamed after a period of running hilly courses or running in excessively worn shoes or the wrong type of shoe for your foot type. Once this happens, a cycle of inflammation ensues. There is a nerve (called the medial calcaneal nerve) that runs along on the inside of the heel bone and actually curves down around the bottom of the heel between the bone and the plantar fascia. As you walk and place stress on the plantar fascia, the tugging of this ligament where it attaches to the heel bone stimulates inflammation. This causes the sharp pain. plantar fasciitis exercises

For plantar fasciitis, the two most important things to consider in selecting the right sneaker are the construction and fit. To be effective in helping to reduce the pain and swelling in the heel and arch, the sneaker must be provide shock absorption in the heel, good support in the heel and along the arch, and promote proper foot position. The fit should not be snug, and should instead provide a roomy toe box to help reduce the chance of more foot complaints like bunions occurring. When laced up, you should feel no pressure points on any part of the foot.

The foot is a very complex mechanical structure. Each foot is assembled from 26 bones, 33 joints, more than a 100 muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves. The human foot system is even more complicated and is changing in every individual. The plantar fascia band part in the foot mechanism is to keep the foot longitudinal arch structure. It operates almost like a bow-string. But this structure is kept also by the other components of the foot particularly the foot's small muscles. If you practice your feet this whole structure will get stronger. Stronger foot muscles can assist the plantar fascia keeping it from another injury.

Other effective techniques include use of a slant board ( Figure 3 ) or placing a two-inch × four-inch piece of wood ( Figure 4 ) in areas where the patient stands for a prolonged time (e.g., workplaces, kitchen or stoves) to use in stretching the calf. Dynamic stretches such as rolling the foot arch over a 15-oz size can or a tennis ball are also useful ( Figure 5 ) Cross-friction massage above the plantar fascia ( Figure 6 ) and towel stretching ( Figure 7 ) may be done before getting out of bed and serve to stretch the plantar fascia.

Treatment of this condition after proper diagnosis from a foot and ankle surgeon usually begins with rest and avoiding any physical activities that might aggravate the plantar fasciitis Icing 20 minutes several times a day also helps reduce the inflammation associated with the condition. Also, it is important to avoid going barefoot. This puts excessive stain on the plantar fascia. Stretching exercises are also critical. Stretching helps not only to stretch the calf muscles but also stretches the plantar fascia to help reduce pain and help with the recovery. Medications are also useful in the treatment process.

I then begin to send healing energy to the affected area of pain, in this case the heel of your foot. I send the energy for about 20 minutes and then ask you for your pain level again. Most of my client notice a pain reduction anywhere from 20-30% in the first twenty minutes. We repeat this process another two times in the course of the hour healing session until the pain level is zero or greatly reduced to a much more comfortable level. Some people may need two or three sessions to experience complete relief.plantar fasciitis treatment
